The Grand Draw was a great success last year, and is a crucial fundraiser for the club. Our long-term goal remains to find a space within the parish to develop 1/2 pitches & training grounds to cater for our ever growing playing base. We have record numbers of kids involved from nursery up. The LGFA side of the club continues to grow apace. We have an U17 Ladies team this year, and are getting closer to entering an Adult Ladies team in the years to come. While this growth is great to see, it does place additional demands on our limited resources. Finding space to develop new pitches and training grounds is crucial to continue our development as a club and would really allow us to realise our potential.

In the meantime, we continue to develop Joe McDermott Park as much as possible. There is ongoing work to improve what we can. The carpark was revamped last year, the trees at the top end of the pitch were cut down to free up some space, and we have done a lot of work to improve the quality of the pitch. We have also recently completed work on improving the floodlights around the pitch, and there is further works to be undertaken on the clubhouse and gym.

We are exploring the option of fully redeveloping Joe McDermott. This would involve realigning and relaying the pitch, installing new ball-stop nets, the addition of a walkway and a new fence around the perimeter of the pitch. This would involve us needing to relocate for training and matches for a year while this work is ongoing, and again leaves facing the challenge of finding a suitable area to use within the parish during this time.

While we are planning for all of these changes, we continue to fundraise via the Grand Draw and the Club Lotto. We thank everyone who has supported us with these fundraisers and hope we can continue to relay on your support. We would also like to thank our various benefactors and sponsors who play a vital role in helping us provide the resources required from Nursery up to Senior.
