Curraha welcomed Gaeil Colmcille to Joe McDermott Park for our third appearance in this year's Premier championship.

The Kells outfit had the better of the opening exchanges, and led by 5 points to 1 at the first water break. Curraha's sole point was a fine effort from Seamus Hogan. The 'Ha racked up a number of wides in this period which could have significantly reduced the gap.

The visitors added 3 more points after the water break, with 2 points from Gavin Coyle keeping Curraha in the game. Despite trailing by 5 points at half time, there was very little between the teams, with the visitors just managing to be more efficient in front of the posts.

Another score from Gavin Coyle got the hosts off to a good start, before a soft penalty decision gave Kells the chance to register the first goal of the game and push their lead out to 7 points after seven minutes of the second half. Daniel Doran and two more Gavin Coyle points reduced the gap, with Kells tagging on a point just before the water break to leave the score at 0-7 to 1-9.

Curraha had their best spell of the game in the final quarter, scoring 1-5 in this period. Gavin Coyle added another 1-3, to leave his own tally at an impressive 1-8, with Luke McCarthy and Gavin McKane also getting in on the action.

However, we couldn't quite get back on level terms despite the late rally, and the Kells team were able to hang and gain the victory.
